She is a holder of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, attained from the Namibian University of Science and Technology (NUST). Mavis is the co-founder of Ehaveco Events, an event organization group which focuses on organizing woman empowerment functions and helping people and businesses realize the full potential of women.

Mavis is also a part-time radio presenter at Radio Wave and occasionally serves as master of ceremonies, having hosted the Namibia Music Awards in 2015 as well as other prestigious events. With a great love for public speaking, Mavis has graced the stage with renowned Namibian motivational speakers, as a poet and motivational speaker in her own right.

Mavis was awarded the ‘Vivid Philanthropist Of the Year’ title in 2015 and represented Namibia in Washington DC to conduct a research on the fight against Gender Based Violence. She was awarded the Queens Young Leader Award 2018 for her work as a young Namibian Philanthropist.

She has successfully organized empowerment Gala dinners where she brought together Namibian woman of note to serve as inspiration to other women and charity events that have been held across the country. Mavis continues to volunteer her services in areas that would require her positive contribution.
