bio

Kabuka Steven is humanist and conceptualist; raised in Uganda. My style of photography fall within the genre of AFROFUTURISM, which I describe as; © An artistic repurpose of the cultural heritage African narrative through integrating historical elements, present culture and future aspirations of people of color by using Narrative, Fantasy and Fiction to highlight African identity for now and generations to come. To me photography is not just taking beautiful photographs of people and places but visually I create Artistical stories depending on the social and cultural backgrounds of a given community because it allows me to touch millions of lives and being a voice.
