I am a self-taught award-winning filmmaker, TV presenter and actress with over 35 years of transformative work experience in film, theatre and the creative arts from Uganda. Over the years, I have accumulated over 15 awards and recognitions, nationally and internationally in the broad realm of the creative arts. Art is unmistakably my life-long passion. I am a storyteller committed to using film for development. My work in Uganda’s media landscape, spans award-winning feature films, short films, documentaries, TV dramas and game shows, many of which have received acclaim across Uganda, South Africa, India, the UK and the USA. My expertise lies in developing content that highlights issues affecting women, youth, children, health, the environment and social development. My technical expertise has been outsourced by prestigious organisations such as USAID, the UN agencies and Johns Hopkins University to design and implement evidence-based communication materials. My leadership extends to advising prestigious institutions. I currently serve as Chairperson of the Presidential Investors' Round Table (Tourism & Film) and sit on the Uganda Communications Commission’s Content Development Support Programme fund Committee. I joined the 12th Uganda Film Festival Jury in 2025 with a deep commitment to excellence and a passion for growing Uganda’s film industry. I am a Communication Specialist and a founding Director at TRIVISION Uganda Ltd and K2 Media Channel Ltd. My footprint is indelible in the development of the Ugandan film industry, not only as a filmmaker, but also as a think-tank and mentor to the next generation of filmmakers. I have trained and nurtured emerging filmmakers since 1998, many of whom have gone on to win local and international awards. I made my directorial debut with After the Silence (2006) and played a supporting role in Disney’s Queen of Katwe (2016).
