My name is Thulani Nahum Deke a freelance filmmaker. I saw the job advert on www.screenafrica.com today 17/08/2017. I am very much interested in the position mentioned above,as you would see on my CV attached, I have experience in the Film, video and TV industry, and would love to be part of your team. I started in the industry back in 2008 as a Production Assistant(Intern) for Moonlighting film service production, Cape Town, then worked as Camera operator and Outreach producer in an independent feature length documentary(The Creators Documentary, Cape Town) and I also worked as an editor using Final Cut Pro7/10 and also have an experience with Adobe Premier Pro CS6/Adobe CC 2017, and I have worked as a camera operator for a community Television station in Port Elizabeth called Bay TV(channel 260 DSTV). I have done TV commercials and print jobs as a talent as well. I also have supervisory position experience as I worked as Human Resource officer for an organisation called Baphumelele which then employed more than 109 employees in Khayelitsha, Cape Town from March 2009 to December 2011. A recent project I was also involved in was on 28 May to 01 August 2016(Walk to a better world),where I worked as a camera operator, documenting Matt Napier an Australian man who walked from Namibia to Botswana right through to Mozambique ending in South Africa, to raise funds for four charities. October 2017 – March 2018 Edited 120’ minutes long documentary on Robben Island Ex-Political Prisoners – Censorship Office and Visitors Centre.
