WORK EXPERIENCE
May 2016-to date: Video on demand content editor and production assistant (Viusasa)-Royal Media Services Ltd.
Responsibilities held
- Creatively editing news, designing graphics and Viusasa content.
- Liaising with producers, camera men and talents to know what the team needs and advising on the best, creative and interactive camera shots.
- Writing synopsis and assisting in script writing and advising the producer on possible changes to be made where necessary.
- Designing posters and news themes, montages for shows, creating graphics for health content.
- Doing research of the programs.
- Repurposing all Citizen Television programs into suitable V.O.D format.
- Capturing the raw footage and storing in drives/cloud for archival purposes.
- Encoding all the productions into the right format.
- Liaising with RMS library for new programs to be repurposed.
- Logging of edited programs and forwarding them to the immediate supervisor.
- Ensuring the machines are in good condition and pin-point faulty machines in advance for troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Going to the locations in advance (RECCE) to estimate weather conditions and any logistics needed.
- Advising the graphics other designers and producer on possible changes to be made.
- Preparing release and agreement forms in advance for the talents to sign.
- Preparing log sheets to be used in the locations.
