Imké Arries was born in Makhanda, affectionately known as Grahamstown. She received an award a level 6 certificate from the Trinity College of London for Speech Drama at only 12 years of age. She went on to be a multi-award winner for dance and modelling from the South African Championships of Performing Arts and represented her country in Los Angeles for modelling where she won the division title in her age category. Imké went on to sweep awards in the national and international Dance Stars competition in 2018. Her background in the performance arts has led her to continuing her journey as a creator at AFDA. It is safe to say that there is so much more that Imké has to offer this industry.
