Roles:
-Taking all the elements that have been gathered throughout the day (packages, vostos, vo's, copy stories, graphics), and constructing a newscast
- Accurately timing a newscast while communicating with the studio crew, anchors and crews in the field
- Performing research on local, national and international affairs to stay updated with current events
- Overseeing the type and order of news stories to create a cohesive show.
II.) Script Writer, Film Link Africa- Intern
Roles:
- Preparing a script in a way that enables readers to envisage the setting, emotion and the way it will work on screen.
- Creating an initial treatment for screenplays.
- Working with producers and directors to edit and adjust the script as needed.
- Meeting with film executives to pitch screenplays and ideas.
