1. 2007 June to December - worked as a freelancer and was specialized in filming Weddings, workshops, and Social parties
2. 2008 to 2012 – Worked as a freelance Camera Operator and Editor in Lusaka with several Media Organizations such as:
- C & N Media Solutions
- Two Ends Advertising & Communication
- Link Media Solutions
These private Media Organizations are specialized in Video Production and Advertising.
I worked on a number of documentaries with the media houses listed above for Organizations such as:
- Omnia Fertilizer Zambia LTD
- Caritas Zambia
- Medical Stores LTD
- Child Fund Zambia
- Parmalat Zambia LTD
- Banking on Health under USAID
- Zambia Insurance Business College Trust (ZIBCT).
- Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU)
- Citizens Forum
- Reformed Church in Zambia Kamwala Congregation.
My role in all these documentaries was that of a Camera Operator and Editor. Some documentaries were televised on Muvi Television, Zambia National Broadcasting Cooperation (ZNBC), and Mobi Television.
3. 2012 May to date – working for the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) in Kitwe as a programmes editor on a renewable contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Having being with ZNBC for seven(7) years now, my responsibilities have been to edit programmes in production and news departments.
Programmes such as:
- Kwacha Good Morning Zambia, Lunch Break, The Rep, Yzone, Newsline, Morning Live, Reaction, News, Focus, Fun time.
- Documentaries / Adverts etc.
- I advise producers and reporters on the quality and standard of the edited programme.
As an editor, I am able to work with different professional Software such as Adobe and Final Cut to produce quality programs.
ADDED RESPOSIBILITY THROUGH ABILITIES
Currently I also double up as:
· Producer: for a Weekly TV gospel Show (THE REP) on ZNBC. Here I take up all responsibilities of a producer in the 3 stages of production (pre-production, production and post production).
· Presenter: Since 2014 I have been a Live television presenter hosting different shows from News & current affairs to Magazine shows.
· Director: (Directing live and recorded programmes for both studio and outside broadcast.
· Camera Operator: Being a qualified camera operator, I shoot News and Productions as assigned. In 2014, I was attached to Super Sport International as a camera operator shooting Live football matches for FAZ, CAF and FIFA level.
I also film ENG/ EFP for Super Sport International and do an offline edit, then send footage to South Africa for broadcast on a TV show called Bola Yapa Zed.
I have also been privileged to assist the producer for Bola Yapa Zed show with ideas locally since he is based in South Africa.
· Floor Manager: I have excellent Floor Managing skills.
· Voice Over Artist: I record voice overs for different adverts and documentaries for both Radio and Television.
