James Ongige, known professionally as Quafff, is a Kenyan rapper, actor, filmmaker and sound engineer.
Quafff was born on September 4, 2003, in Nairobi, Kenya, to Gladys Moraa, a businesswoman, and Willy Ongige, a musician. He grew up in Kangemi, and was raised Catholic. He attended New Kihumbuini Primary School and Nduru Boys' High School in Kisii, Kenya.
Quafff began his music career as 'Rapking' with his debut single 'Outta 23' in 2019 before changing his stage name to Quafff in 2021.
In 2024, Quafff debuted in filmmaking, directing the horror short film 'I Know Whatcha Did' while studying at The Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.
