Robert Jeff Omondi is an aspiring screenwriter, filmmaker and founder of Salty Inc., a startup production company with the long-term vision of producing captivating short films, feature-length films, skits, documentaries and real life stories.
His love for films blossomed at an early age and from the moment he watched his first movie, Robert knew he wanted to be part of the fascinating world behind the camera. With unwavering passion, he immersed himself in various film genres, dissecting their narratives and analysing the craft of storytelling. His insatiable curiosity drove him to read screenwriting books besides studying the works of renowned screenwriters with the aim to hone his writing skills.
Equipped with a diverse range of influences, Robert brings his own unique voice and through his screenplays, he hopes to touch people's lives, inspire them and even change their perspective on the world, invigorating them to constantly speak out for necessary positive change needed in the society. With each script he writes, he inches closer to his dream of seeing his stories come alive in the silver screen ready to ignite the hearts and minds of audiences worldwide. Robert was a finalist in the #BomoaUkuta 2021 Film Competition. His first-ever film, AMINI , a short film was produced in 2023 funded by a grant from Goethe Institute.
