George Washington III Director, Writer, and Cinematographer was born in Milwaukee, WI, USA. He received his digital cinematography degree from Full Sail University in 2020 and studied digital cinematography, film production, creative writing, film analysis, scriptwriting, and visual, and composition design. Upon completion of his two film degrees, he started Black Star Pictures. While working as a freelancer in the camera department I worked as a Production Manager for a Network, DIT for ESPN, Camera Operator for Various Major Networks to name HULU, A&E, Discovery ID, TYT, FED EX. In June 2021 “Dead South” was George’s directorial debut an (Afrofuturistic) horror film. “Dead South"' examines a zombie-infested world and how black people from various walks of life come together to attempt to save the world. Currently Dead South is streaming on Amazon Prime Video Direct UK.
George’s mission is to share Afrofuturistic ideas and compelling stories that recognize the future of our cultural experiences but also connect us through our differences and past.
Currently, George is focusing on Supernatural Drama Series.
