My name is Sakhiwe Mark Pike, I am a proud South African who in a few years aspires to be professionally known as "The King Of Kings". Currently, Im in my second year of a three-year BA Film Degree course at CityVarsity in Cape Town. Throughout my career in the business of film, I have consistently demonstrated an understanding of the intricacies of film production, distribution, and marketing. I have leveraged my expertise to bring numerous projects to fruition, overseeing the development of compelling narratives and the successful execution of productions across a wide range of genres. My acumen in the business of film encompasses navigating complex industry landscapes, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and securing funding for diverse projects. I have a proven track record of collaborating with talented directors, writers, and actors, and my involvement in the entire production cycle has contributed to the successful delivery of thought-provoking and commercially successful films. I strongly believe that the Cape in South Africa is the ideal location for the film industry, with its awesome landscapes, Mountains, towns, talent and weather. However, unfortunately, the Cape finds itself in a dark shade with only few projects shot yearly. I take it upon myself to change this narrative because i see it as the pillar of the Film Industry of South Africa. That's why I have chosen producing as my elective/major, as it allows me to create and produce films and series that accurately depict the true democracy of the Republic of South Africa.
