Calling on all African directors of scientific films, this competition is for you!

Les Mils d’Or 9th Edition: African directors of scientific films, is now open! The topic for this year’s competition is ‘Address a global development issue through a scientific process.’ The deadline for submission is 15 September 2019.

Submit your film accompanied by a summary (10 line maximum), a technical sheet and the contact of the director and/or producer at: [email protected] or drop it off with Mrs. Bérénice Ouattara, IRD Centre of Ouagadougou, 688 avenue du Pr Joseph Ki-Zerbo 01 BP 182 Ouagadougo 01, Burkina Faso.

Criteria:

• Topic: Address a global development issue through a scientific process
• Approach: Present film with a technical and artistic approach
• Language: French or English
• Year of production: Between 2019 and 2019
• Format: DVD, Blu-Ray or digital submission
• Length: Max. 30 minutes

The selected films will be screened during the final contest on 25 October 2019 at the IRD Campus in Ouagadougou.
