Kaluba Margret Mayowe is a 26-year-old Lusaka creative who hopes to one day “become a great asset to the film industry”.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Cavendish University, and a passion for film and TV, Kaluba is well on her way. The aspiring filmmaker says she has ambitions of making films, as well as being entrepreneurial.

“My dream career is writing and directing movies, and becoming the CEO of a media company.” Kaluba says a youthful, fresh and new way of portraying stories is something she could give back to Africa’s film and TV industries. And adds that if given the opportunity to make a production, it would be one that “provokes the mind and isn’t predictable. Something that keeps people on their toes but is relatable to real life situations”.
