Protus Prince Karani is a cinematographer /D. O. P, actor and film producer. His film career begun in 2015 where he worked on HAMMER(nominated best sound in Riverwood awards 2016),INTERTWINED (nominated best feature film in Riverwood Awards 2016),CHAMPEZ DIARIES and SUICIDE NOTE (2018).He also featured in local TV productions as an actor e. g The real house helps of kawangware ( then on ktn), Varshita (maisha magic), Kina (maisha magic) and Kizaazaa (K24 plus). He teamed up with fellow producers : Jacktone Alufwani , Dickson Misyle Omondi , Akin Peppin and Tofa Atoffa to produce BLANDA(nominated Kalasha awards 2021, Best local language and Best Special effects). He is an award winning cinematographer from the 9th edition Coast Film Festivals 2021 and CCUMP Film Festival 2022 with #REDFLAG.In 2023 he graced the theatres with his cinemotography in his feature #IPOSIKU .He has also graced the industry with his style of lighting seen in #GILGIL (2024) aired on Maisha Magic and # (Coming out in Septmber)
