MTF Director
The MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF) took home a campaign bronze Loerie in the Creating Shared Value (CSV) category at 41st Annual Loerie Awards held at the International Convention Centre in Durban on Friday night. In 2016 the Shared Value category (formerly the Ubuntu Award for Sustainable Marketing) was introduced to reward brands that do good while doing good business. Speaking at the awards ceremony, MTF Director, Cheryl Uys-Allie said; “We’re honoured to have made the finals as this is only our first year of engaging in intensive training to empower emerging and professional filmmakers across the continent. This is only the beginning of our exciting journey to upskill and further ignite Africa’s creative industries.” The MultiChoice Talent Factory is a flagship CSV initiative of MultiChoice Africa that provides a platform for the creative industries to develop their talent and engage with one another through shared passions. This initiative has a multi-tiered approach, from the MTF Academies to the MTF Masterclasses and the MTF Portal. The final touchpoint, the MTF Portal is a Pan-African, film and television digital marketplace that offers open, cost-free access to over 21 000 film and TV creatives across the continent to showcase their talent, access opportunities, stay up-to-date with industry news, find each other, connect and make great films. The Loeries are premier awards that recognise, reward, inspire and foster creative excellence in the advertising and brand communication industry in Africa and the Middle East.
