Tebogo Moetswadi Molepo, a 23-year-old Wits Graduate in Bachelors of Music and a Naledi Theatre Award Nominee. She is originally from Secunda, Mpumalanga and started her career in the arts at the age of 10 at Thistle Grove Combined School, when she joined the school choir and performed at multiple school talent shows. In 2016, she enrolled at The National School of the Arts where she specialized in music and had her first stage debut at the Nelson Mandela Stage (Joburg Theatre) performing the musical “We Will Rock You” (2017) as part of the National School of the Arts annual Festival of Fame. The following year, she returned to the Mandela stage as Addaperle in the musical “The Wiz”. She matriculated from the National School of the Arts (2018), and in her first year of study at the University (2019), she was cast in the musical “Hamba Kahle” Mkhonto directed by Robert Mshengu Kavangha. In 2021, she performed “Pula Ya Nuru” directed by Sibu Mkhize and Moeketsi Kgotle as part of her musical theatre showcase exam at the Wits Main Theatre. She was also part of the Wits Homecoming weekend theater performance called “Lerumo Badimong” at the Wits Main theatre (2022). In 2023, she became the lead in “Wanda: The Musical” written and directed by Daniel Gadess. She was a part of the Christmas show at Sandton City called “Momo’s Magical Adventure where she played the lead, directed by Kirsten Mary Harris (2023-2024). “Momo’s Magical Adventure” was nominated for a Naledi Theatre Award for “Best Production for a Young Audience”.
